The 2005 vintage

A wet end to winter was followed by a cool and dry start to the season. Flowering in December was good and fruit set, too, progressed well. Vine growth was healthy with very little disease pressure. A late cool vintage was expected but Autumn turned out to be dry and very warm. Grape maturity moved along quickly to see vintage getting underway in the first weeks of April, the fruit then being hand picked in optimum condition.

Following the very good 2003 and 2004 seasons, 2005 will be remembered as another excellent one.
